I am going to my parents' house so some of these activities are sadly out.

I would probably sleep till 12-1 pm. Get something to eat from a near by deli and pick up a movie. Maybe later on soak in the tub with epsom salt to relax the muscles and some wine (or beer if your into that). Depending on how long your vacation is the first 2 days you should be completely imobile.
