Does anyone know of a website, or even if this kind of company exists, where basically it's like a library, but online?
Something similar to Blockbuster, where they post you the books and you post them back when you're done.
This would be in the UK.
Thanks in advance!

I know of a web site called bookcrossing.com where its free to join all you have to do is post 2 books that you have already read.then you search thru all the books listed and you contact the owner of the book that you like asking them to mail it to you.and if someone likes one of your books they ask you and you mail it to them.the site is international. But you could look for someone local to swap books with. The site is amazing and I have saved so much money not having to buy books as I read sooo many of them!

I could not find any, but most commonly you can find this type of exchange in your community through a local book club. If there are none try starting your own using a free yahoo! or MSN group. Sometimes libraries will mail you books if you do not live near them, like hear in Maine (USA) the state library is quite a ways away but online you can order books to lend out to you. I really hope this helps. Are you looking for a particular author or title. Also try ebay or abebooks.com sometimes you can purchase a book for cheap and the savings would equal the shipping. I hope this helps!

Apart from this US site

I can only think of book swapping/sharing sites where you can exchange rather than rent books - which is probably not what you are looking for. For audiobooks there are many sites. Anyway, take a look :)
