I hope so...It's been going on for so long,so we shouldn't expect it to be solve in a few weeks...It might take years ,but ,yes I think it can be solved...
Since Israel already exists and there is nothing someone can do about it,but accept it,a two state solution would be in order..
But Israel needs to start applying international law and end the illegal occupation of land from 1967 ,allow Palestinian refugees to come back to their lands and allow Palestinians to create their own state...Unless Israel doesn't recognize Palestinians right to exist,we can not expect peace there...
No justice for Palestinians,no peace...

thumberlina the Palestinians have already recognized Israel,in 1993 and they also giving up 78% of the land they were entitled according to the partition plan...All for peace and a Palestinian state...Palestinians got nothing in exchange of that recognition,so why would Hamas do the same mistake?

Of course it can be solved. Since Israel is the powerful state with the nuclear weapons and the world support it can make peace easily.

I -as a Palestinian- think that Israel can move towards peace by doing these:
1) Tear down the apartheid wall.
2) Israeli withrawal from the West Bank.
3) Evacuate all the Jewish settlements in the West Bank without any exception. I mean those settlements which became cities!
4) Allow the Palestinian refugess to come back home.

If Israel really wants to make peace it can start it by doing these. All the evidences prove that Israel doesn't want a Palestinian state and it put many obstacles to prevent it; the apartheid wall, seizing lands, economical pressure and building settlements in the West Bank which is supposed to be for the Palestinians.
As for "settle peacefully"..... yes, settlers in the West Bank use guns to steal lands and settle there.

A two state solution is the only viable option. And it is an option that will come about if the Palestinians ever get a leadership that wants peace rather than having a genocidal agenda and dreams of a Jew free planet.

It can't be settled peacefully because they believe in different Gods. The god of the muslims tells the Arabs to kill the Israeli's and the God of the Israeli's tells them to stand their ground the best they can.
I think the God of the Israeli's will solve the problem Himself for the Israeli's because he protects them.

If the Palestinians stopped fighting, they'd have their state. If Israel stopped fighting, there'd be no more Israel.

NO!!

Not whilst Hamas is in power. Why should Israel communicate to a country that refuses to acknowledge its existence!
