"Innit!" And other phrases that sound like real words that people can't be bothered to say properly!

My mam has a habit, when she's relating a conversation to me thats she's had with someone else, of saying "so I turned around and said"and im thinking if you where talking to someone ,why were'nt you facing them!.The local teens have a habit of saying NER,NA instead of a simple NO which is really annoying and finally,'at the end of the day'.If someone says it to me i say"ITS NIGHT".xxx

In Africa we have an expression that someone will do something "just now" or "now now"This is annoying because that could mean in 5 minutes or in 5 days!!!

Any kind of "buzz word" - urgh. Thinking outside the box, touching base (No-one's touching MY base!), at the end of the day...

Basically, whatever, innit, like,

"Can I get" instead of "Can I have"

Most generic Americanisms are entirely out of place in England...

Soz y'all...

"piggin' "is the most awful word it drives me insane. When Cannon and Ball used to come on to the tv I would have to leave the room until their act finished. Because I knew they would be saying the word. It makes my skin crawl I dislike it that much. So who does my husband like to watch on t.v.?
(I am sure its because I go elsewhere to read. )

"I mean" when it is used to start a sentence, not to further describe something.

"so" at the end of a sentence. If you pay attention, people do it all the time. I guess they figure you'll fill in the rest of the thought.

But the one that really makes me nuts is "um". (Just say it, damn it!)

"At the end of the day" or "In an ideal world". Or there is a bloke at work who keeps repeating himself, and all he says is " like I say" then repeats the last 5 mins of his conversation!!!

I should of/would of instead of should have/would have
Using a double negative particularly grates ... e.g. I never did nothing/ or the more eloquent I didn't do nothing, they're both the same.

If you didn't do nothing then you must have done something.
