I got the depo shot, which is a birth control shot that is administered every three months, but because I didn't have the money to buy the medicine when my period came on I got the shot administered as soon as I got the money but this wasn't until after I had already had my period. Now two months later I haven't had a period at all and I have had sex unprotected, could it be that I am pregnant? Or should I give it mroe time?

You may be pregnant. The doctor's office SHOULD have given you a pregnancy test prior to giving you the next shot just in case of pregnancy (they did that to me when I missed my shot by a week or so).

The only 100% effective method of birth control is abstinence, so even ON the depo shot and taking it on time you could get pregnant.

I was on it for four years and never got a period during that time. BUT I DID have weight gain, horrible mood swings, and loss of sex drive.

I on no account heard of any individual determining they had been three months pregnant with bad experiment outcome. I used to be at the depo shot and could not get pregnant for a entire yr. It used to be ridiculous. I did not have consistent durations both. It used to be many years upon getting off of the shot that i truthfully acquired my interval. That shot messes up your process. If you maintain popping out with a bad outcome your obviously simply experiencing slight signs of the shot. I had so much of your signs while i used to be at the shot and while i used to be coming off of it. If you're short of to get pregnant do not take the dept shot and speak for your healthcare professional. i believe delivery manage drugs is the bigger technique to pass. Good Luck

I used to get the shot, which by the way, my doctor stopped administering due to all the problems it caused .......... and I NEVER had a period. It's one of the so-called side effects.

My advice, let it wear off, and NEVER get another one! I thought for sure that they had pulled it off the market by now. Yeah, it's convenient all right, but you'll pay for it down the road, I guarantee!

Go to your local health clinic and you can get on any kind of birth control for free, if you fit in the income bracket. Ortho Tricyclen is a good choice.

Take a test to be sure, but the shot makes you miss your period. When used properly, you should only have a period every 3 months.
