I am into medieval times and I like to read about Kings and Queens. Like the story about Princess Katherine of Spain in the book - The Kings Pleasure. Do you know any good authors of these kinds of novels?

and what are the must read novels of this nature?

The Nonsuch Lure by Mary M. Luke is an excellent read. This story has similar elements relating to past lives. Luke also wrote: A Crown for Elizabeth, The Ivy Crown and Catherine the Queen. Most of these were written in the late 70's so they may be out of print. However, the time spent tracking them down is certainly worth it.

I am not a mushy romance reader but I LOVE all of the Philippa Gregory novels tracking the tudors in england. My favorite by her is The Other Boleyn Girl. This book talks about Mary Boleyn and her trials under the reign of Henry VIII

Dame frevisse mystery novel series is midieval crimes solved by a nun. the best one so far is The Servants Tale.

Fiona buckley's novels about mysterys in the Elizabethan court is good as well.
