Maybe permissable but not necessarily legal.....

That depends on where the control of granting permission rests and the nature of the act in question.

Any act is permissable if you deem it to be so yourself.... irrespective of whether it is private or not.

For instant, I consider disembowelling someone and making an artistic sculpture out of their internal organs to be entirely permissable.... though naturally anyone else who found out about it wouldn't.
As such, I do have the built in clause that doing such a thing, then getting arrested and thrown in jail isn't half as permissable to me. My willingness to do such a thing would be entirely dependant on being free of legal repurcussion.

Only one's own perspective really matters at the end of the day.

Yes, in the Bible it says something about going to your brother first about his sin in private, then a second time in private...well, you get the point. Confronting a person about sin is permissible if it is carried out in private.

The perfect murder is permissible,if you work alone it is private.
I guess the only question is the definition of permissible

No, murder is still illegal, just because you do it in private doesn't make it permissible. If you are talking about sexual acts, as long as you have the okay from whomever else is involved and as long as you abide by ALL the rules, sure.

Permissible means "to get permission" meaning your purposely making it NOT private!

Just because something happens in private, it doesn't make it legal. What it does mean is that you will get away with it if both parties are consenting and agree not to inform the police about it.

Any act you say?

Is that something so depraved that you don't want to mention it.

Whatever we DO stays with us the rest of your life.
Whatever we SAY marks us out in the company of others.

A wise Friend said,
"It is not what we think we are, It is what we think, we are".
