Pretty much, I don't remember the last time a man has gotten up to give me his seat anywhere, or the last time I've been at a restaurant where someone DOESN't have a cell phone conversation at the table, etc etc.
BUT I live in the Midwest, and I'm pretty sure the midwest is one of the most polite, friendliest places to be in America so it must be really awful out in New York and LA etc, lol.

some people in this world make it hard to be polite to them!lol! I treat everyone with respect and be polite until I do not receive the same treatment....then I'm a total biotch....
I know alot of people are polite.....but there are some people out there that need to take a class in it! lol!

I'd say that was pretty obvious by perusing this site. Politeness is on its way to being a lost art and it stinks.

No it's all on how your raised my friends say I'm too polite.

i think teenagers and even adults need to quit being so rude and fast paced. ppl tend to only care about themselves..whatever happened to ppl calling u mam and ppl opening doors for u or just saying hi on the street...
