My doctor recommended baths to keep me calm and stress free. I asked him about the water temperature and he said no study has been done that proves that you can "cook" your baby by elevating your temperature. What he did warn me about was that hot water can raise your blood pressure, which makes you dizzy and possibly faint. The fall is what can hurt the baby. Have fun!

yes and no. you can but you need to be very careful of the water tempature you can get a baby bath thermostate to tell the temp make sure it is under 100 and i wouldnt sit in too long. Not just because you dont want to change you body temp but also being pregnant you are more sustable to vaginal infections already and sitting in bath tubs for some reason increases your chance of a yeast infection which by the way are harder to treat while pregnant at least that has been my experience. At the same time a bath may also help relax you as well release some of the tension in your muscles it is really up to you and what you feel comfortable . I have not one since pregnant but i had a gf who find a bath was her time to bond with the baby and would do it every night and the only issue she had was had multiple yeast infections. Just wanted you to have both sides of the spectrum. Good Luck

I have heard that yes you can take a bath while pregnant. Just don't make the water too hot as to elevate your body temperature. Not good for the baby.

Yes, of course you can. I LIVED in the bath with my first, in the bath and swimming pool with my second. You aren't supposed to have them hot enough to raise your body temperature, although I have to admit I ALWAYS did. This is true except for at the VERY end. Once your water has broken, doctors will tell you no tub baths, but then some women actually birth in pools.

You can take a bath while pregnant unless you are dilated. Also, make sure the water isn't hot, just warm.

you can. You just have to make sure the water's not too hot. It should be body tempreture. Hot bath water can raise the body temp. and that's bad for the baby.

Yes, of course!! why couldn't you. I mean, unless you are having contractions and are getting ready to have a baby, then definitely dont take a bath, thats risking your baby to drown when it comes out.
