ThorGirl: I'm an adult. My parents don't punish me for anything. But the President of the United States isn't a parental figure. I'm an adult; I already have a father and I don't need another one. The President is my employee; it isn't his job to punish me, it's his job to act upon the will of the people.

bush doesn't give a damn about the troops.
IF he did he never would have sent them to iraq in the first place!
And he certainly wouldn't have sent them in under-staffed and under-equiped the way he did!

I don't think Bush is delaying anything but a lot of extras the politicians tack on to most spending requests. Bush does not want to tie funding for the troops into a withdrawal scheme that makes no sense. We should have learned our lessons in Vietnam where we tried to fight a conventional war against an unconventional enemy but didn't and now we are doing the same thing in Iraq. If we pull out now without completing the job, all of those men and women who died there will have died in vain.

LOL, well, that is the message the Democrats hope to send, but I am convinced this will backfire on them.
ROFLOL, I know you are really concerned about money being delayed for the troops, but please do not fret, as you will soon see, they will be funded.
BTW, President Bush is not effectively or ineffectively saying anything similar to what you have posted. Just because you do not like him, does not mean you should post untrue statements. It reflects on you and no one else.

Of course. You are absolutely right.
But remember, this is the same Bush that says that the pullout of Iraq will be a problem for future President(s).
"March 22, 2006
WASHINGTON -- President Bush suggested yesterday that US troops might stay in Iraq beyond his presidency, which ends in 2009, saying at a press conference that the issue of removing troops from the country ''will be decided by future presidents and future governments of Iraq.""
What do you expect from this kind of a human being.
Totally irresponsible! Bush should be impeached.

This of course is the Democrat party line.
Why are you people not holding your partys feet to the fire regarding the abolition of pork and 'earmarking;?
This is the stuff they promised to change the day they were elected.
Why aren't you Dem supporters demanding these pinheads do their job and give the Prez a clean bill?
By doing what they did, the Dems are witholding funds from our troops.
Do you really think Americans are too stupid to see through this act?

Yes, the Democrats put the ball back in Bush's hands, it will be him that delays the funds. I think RepubLIEcons should listen to the old Rolling Stones tune "You Can Always Get What You Want"....lol

The reason he is vetoing the bill is because of the riders congress put on it. One of them would put an arbitrary pull out date for our troops. The other added billions in pork spending.
