I think you already know the answer, hence the rhetorical question. It is still a good question to ask. I don't think that anyone takes into consideration that had America and Britain not made that "mistake" none of these after-effects would be taking place.

The main "mistake" concerning WMDs in Iraq is to let SoDamn Insane get them hidden before calling him to account for them. Since you seem to have a very short memory, there were a whole bunch of Kurds and Iranians who died of something that was NOT old age a few years back. I suppose you think that SoDamn had a tinge of conscience after using WMDs to murder those thousands of people and got rid of the WMDs? If you do, I have a few gallons of Florida Real Estate to sell you.

By a crazy coincidence one of the captured sailors was interviewed the day before on bbc tv. call me paranoid, but it looks like a set up. now the public can "relate" to the captured sailors and support a military action. we the public now know for sure that she has been captured. with WMDs we only had the Govts say so. At least this time its not a lie.
its worse that they made a mistake, but its as bad to be manipulated.

It's all related. Iran are now just asking for trouble by taking these british soldiers, not that i see it as a bad thing. It doesnt help that the UK is recommisioning trident and telling iran that they arent allowed to play with nuclear power.
