Because the Jazz as a whole are very underrated. They have maintained the 4th best record in the west and have not slipped like they have in past seasons, yet the team is not included in talks as a title contender. Some people have even said the Lakers and Rockers have a chance to win in the west, but not the Jazz. So if team doesn't get any hype of course Boozer isn't going to get any.

Several reasons

1. The 8 games he missed, the Jazz were 6-2. Wonder how the Suns would do without Nash, or the Mavericks without Dirk? Boozer is an excellent power forward, but he's repaceable on his own team because AK-47 can swing to the 4, and Paul Millsap is ready to be a starter. They'd be just as good without him.

2. The position he plays. As a power forward, he has the curse of being compared to the likes of Dirk, Duncan, KG, Elton Brand, Dwight Howard, etc.. Boozer is having a great year, but he doesn't stand out in this crowd.

3. His team. Not only are they situated in a state seriously lacking in publicity, but they haven't had playoff success since Stockton and Malone were there. Although one season's MVP race really shouldn't have anything to do with that, we all know it does.

4. He may not be the best, or most deserving player on his own team for such honors. Personally, I'd vote for Deron Williams before I'd cast one for Boozer.

Generally in the past the MVP has usually gone to a team with the #1 or #2 record in the league. Dirk and Nash are playing on the two teams with the best records in Basketball. Their teams are potential champions while Utah is not in that same situation.

His team is doing good but in the long run they're not a team to be takin about championships or MVP talks about their players becuse they're not like Dallas is who win win and win and hardly ever lose I mean look what Dirk did for his team his team made history what is Boozer doing and his Team doing... I'll tell you, Nothing except try and go the the playoffs that's about it Now you might be asking '' What is Dallas doing'' ? they're going for 70 wins and go to the playoffs and win and then go to the Finals Aagin...and Win this time and not get robbed by anybody like The Heat did to Dallas and win a Championship.

Because Steve Nash is the MVP.

Boozer is ok, but it really comes down to a popularity contest and right now Nash is popular and Boozer is not.

Because he doesn't have star power yet. Small as it might be, star power still counts for something in the mvp consideration
