Back when I was in love with someone...the mere sound of his voice or the sight of him made my heart skip a couple of beats. It may be a cliche, but when I was with him, I felt complete.
To show my love, I would lightly stroke his arm, hold his hand, lay my head on his (furry) chest, or just lean in and kiss him on the cheek. OH! Silly me....I gave him long behr hugs too!
He broke my heart. Now I feel empty inside.

When I'm in love, I feel like I need to be around my partner. I feel like if I've got a problem, she'll be able to help me. I feel elevated, like nothing else matters when I'm around her, like I could be happy to just spend my days with her, even just doing nothing, as long as she's there.
How do I show it? I tell her I love her. I'm there for her in her hour of need, I have a shoulder for her to cry on. I keep our home tidy, I help her prepare meals. I'll buy her favorite wine and when she comes home from a hard day, I'll listen to her woes. That's how I show I'm in love with my partner. Yes, Fiona, I'm talking about you!

Love makes me feel happy....and sad. Joyful .....and miserable. On cloud 9.....and in the depths of hell. Content....and discontented. Full....and incomplete. Exuberant....and so damn angry. Most of all love makes me feel lonely....in between all those other emotions....because no matter how i explain my love or show my love.....it will never be felt the same as i feel it or understood the way i understand it. The one I love will never truly know the depths of my feelings....that person will only know love from their own point of view. Love is lonely.

I guess it depends on the situation...being in love is very essential and you just feel it..but it is always better to control emotions. the showing-being confident in yourself always helps!

My feelings are a kaleidoscope shaken and jumbled.
I reflect the multi-coloured mystery of shattered glass emotions and joyful rainbows in complex assortment.
I stand and stare and shake the circus tube again and again.

When your feelings for a person is such that their happiness is more important to you than your own would be a good indication of love.
