The Armistice was signed just before dawn on November 11, 1918 at Compiegne and hostilities ceased 6 hours later at 11.00AM. However WW1 did not officially end until June 28, 1919 when the Treaty of Versailles was finally signed.
The choice of date is yours.

Hey
It was at 11:11 on November the 11th, 1918.
I have found a site her that describes what culminated to the first world war starting.
http://computasaur.tripod.com/ww1/
But theres a really bad nigling feeling that they signed the Treaty on a different day to them actually calling peace! I suggeste you look through some history books and see what you can find, for some reason I keep remebering something about something happening in October! Maybe its jst me going mad?!!!!
Anyway I hope this helps.
Hugs
Fizzy
