All you have to do is select the songs you want to put onto your Ipod and then then drag and drop them into your Itunes Music Library, it should automatically convert it to the Mpeg-4 format after that's completed just select those same tracks out of the library and drag and drop them to the Ipod, good luck

You can transfer all of your songs to iTunes, you just go to the directory of where you originally ripped the songs to then select all the songs (ctrl+A) and drag them to your iTunes Library. From there you plug your iPod in and it automatically syncs with iTunes.

It transfers easily (unless it's in another proprietary format, like Microsoft's Zune uses). iTunes can look for music on your computer and convert it. See the support page from Apple for more info.
