I gave all my children a bite or 2 of ice cream around 6 months. No more than that because a baby's digestive system cannot handle milk products yet. you can give him/her cold water anytime if they will take it and diluted juice at around 6 months. No cows milk until they are 1 yrs old. I also would not give them popsicles until they are at least 18 months old.

As far as medication goes ask your Dr because you might not give the correct dosage.
My son's dr at his 2 week check up told me if he had the hiccups give him some cold water. At his 2 month check up {he was closer to 3 months} is when he told me start him on solids he was psychologilly ready. He did not get juice until he was 5 months old and then it was half juice half water {yes his dr knew} He does not get milk yet he's only 10 months old but he has tasted icecream and licked popsicles that started about 9 months.
I do not raise my child by the "book" or give a flyin rats *** was the "experts" say. I do what I feel is best for my child. That is how I raised my nephew who is now 17 and HEALTHY, my 14 yr old and now my 10 month old..Every dr's advice will be different depends how long they have been in practice and their own "personal" belifes.

Water at any time. Id wait on juice as long as possible -if never (so much sugar). Popsicles and ice cream wait until even 2, they're sooo messy! Cows milk 1 year.

If I were you, I wouldn't give your baby anything but cold water in the bottle or sippy until they are off of the formula. Don't give ice cream until they are already used to regular milk, and popsicle isnt a good idea until they are like 18 months because a chunk could break off and choke them.

you really shouldn't give your child juice for quite some time. The sugars are very harmful to the teeth, even when they aren't in yet. Water in a bottle or sippy is okay. I wouldn't recommend popsicles either unless they are a little older. (Not because they'll choke...obviously...the popsicle will melt.)

I on no account took the temp rectally. I continually did decrease than the arm. The daycares around right here are not even allowed to do rectal temps it must be underarm, ear or brow. So there are different processes definite so do no longer complication. in case you have the digital thermometer reachable then turn it on and placed it precise decrease than the arm in the pit and watch for it to peep. If it registers one hundred and one then call the Dr. i understand even at 2 months old the Dr's workplace purely makes use of the ear or brow thermometers till they are able to't get a solid analyzing.

Please don't give your baby any medication without DOC'S approval. You may be giving her something she doesn't need because babies have many illnesses that can mask as a cold but be something more....go to the doc...ok...hope your baby is feeling better soon
