my scanner has been acting kinda funny in the last few weeks, until bam, the original adaptor burned. i checked to see if it was my scanner alone that was broken too, but i tried it with my friend's scanner adaptor (she had the same identical one) and it worked perfectly fine. so i ordered a new one of the correct model and such.

i just tried and boom it did something funny, so anyways, it worked for a couple of min. then i turned it off when i came back to use to it again it didnt make any noise as how the old one did, it simply did not work anymore. but i noticed that aroudn the edges of it it was getting all liquidy. yellowish liquidy....what is that?????

do adaptors carry some type of liquid inside of each one?? does that mean that its burnt AGAIN??? what is this liquid???

Hi. I don't know for sure but some capacitors may contain an insulating liquid. Resisters do not. Did the old one leak anything? There should not be anything harmful in a consumer product.
