Poverty is man made. It is also retribution. Once rich in the previous birth, they might have wasted food and dumped the excess food in dust pin. Secondly they might not have shared the food with the have nots including their own kith and kin. These things may look blasphemy. But this is the case. It can be alleviated by the collective will of people.

When we mean poverty we literally mean people who dont have enough food to eat, enough water to drink , clothes to wear and a place to live... and these people cannot afford gaining access to good health And most of the people in poverty are not so intelligent...are ignorant....and to an extent do not work harder to get out of poverty

Any one else is considered "middle class" or "wealthy"...

Since the wealthy and middle class do not want to share what they have (by way of being smart, cunning, intelligent, lucky) the poor remain in poverty...

They are willing to donate or write off some money for tax benefits... and this action is fully supported by the Govts and the individuals concerned, that is how we have built our nations and our economies..

We need to create a balance.. and this will happen only if everyone involved fully co-operates.

Poor: Must be willing to have fewer children. Must be willing to invest time in education. Have high levels of self control and not take to drugs, smoking and illegal activities. Must not eat junk food even when it is offered free to them. By doing so they save precious tax money (reduced medical and hospital bills)....

Middle class: Must be willing to stop the mad rush of wanting everything the rich have at any cost.. Must be willing to give more to the poor than the tax write off money. Even .005% of their annual income to a poor family will help the family..
Must control spending on credit and learn to live within what they earn.. If they donate .005% of their annual income, should learn to save atleast .05% of annual income.
Middle class should stop spending on unnecessary stuff and then at the eend of the year throw them away, only to buy all over again.
Middle class should reduce / reuse and finally recycle. Now middle class is jjust buying and recycling

Rich: HAAAAA!!!!!! What we see as donations from the rich, is again the surplus money that they are giving away. They have to understand ... only because of the immense support received from the poor and the middle class they have acquired wealth and remain wealthy. They should realize this... and reduce indulgence.
What a rich house hold consumes in a day in terms of electricity, water and other natural resources can feed a city in another country
-Reduce indulgence.....

The world will on its own get balanced

I believe poverty is inherited. If you are born with poor parents, or you live in poor country, what chance would you be to be rich. The same as being rich, if you are born with silver spoon so to speak, well.. you are rich. Although there are cases where people worked hard and are now rich. A story of rags to riches. That constitute very little percentage but they do exist.

We have been wasting our resources in so many ways and wrong directions.

We have to jolt ourselves out of our laziness and start working hard and share the resources equitably. The objective is clear but the path is still unclear.

friend,

Povery is of many types.Dhana daaridriyam (lack of money),Bhaava daaridriyam ( lack of good thoughts), arogya daaridriayam (lack of good health) and so on.There are several types of poverties.

Your question I understand is about finanial poverty.
Some say it is inherited, some say it is because of the sin committed in previous birth (one's own karma).

But it is mainly due to ,in my opinion, lack of education, greediness in the affluent people, lack of human qualities in many, lack of helping nature, sadistic out look, and most want to be poor always as they need labour, servants etc.

It is not karma first of all.If any person sincerely tries to come out of it , HE CAN. He should do what is called PURUSHA PRAYATNAM ( COMMITTED EFFORT TO OBTAIN WHAT HE WANTS).here PURUSHA does not mean MAN.
Human body is called PURAM.That which resides in this puram ,irrespective of gender, is called PURUSHA.

Brahmarshi Vashista clearly, logically, with examples tells every one what this Purusha Prayatnam is and how it should be done.In YOGA VAASHISTAM one can read all this., if interested.

So persons themselves are the major reason for their povery.Their laziness, their compromising with karmic theory without doing any effort . lack of education , and the politicians attitude are reasons to poor remaining as poor.
If people who have , develop a mind to share some thing with have nots it gets solved to some extent. The broad mindedness should develop.

It is the primary duty of the government to see that all are educated.Learning alphabets is not education. If one is able to sign his name only without knowing what he wrote.that is not literacy.education should make them understand the world around and shall provide them some small job to live proudly.
All Arrack shops, belt shops, brandy bars shall be forth with closed.Tobacco should be banned.illicit liquor makers shall be punished deterrently and there shall be no illicit liquor at all.the dignity of labour shall be understood.

Every one in society shall contribute to this.
Instead of going to a holy place and putting anonymously crores of rupees in the Hundi there, let that money be used for rural mass , for their education, water, food etc.Let there be roads from all villages and hamlets to towns.
we see road side Boards telling '' ROADS INDICATE CULTURE''(I have seen several boards ).Roads indicate civilisation, the condition of road indicates the culture.

So, let us every one do our best in this direction. The progress may be small. But in order to reach the winning Post one should start walking. If you stand still.you will be where you are.You have to blame your self alone.
