You've been watching the movie "Footloose" huh?

There are no states that forbid the possession/sale of alcohol, but there are some counties that do. I grew up in a 'dry county'. It didn’t necessarily stop people from drinking though. They just drove to the next county to do it.

As far as dancing, if it’s restricted, it’s due a city/county ordinance, not a state law.

Bourneville in Birmingham England is a dry village. No pubs or bars. Tesco have recently had an application to sell alcohol there turned down.

And yes some cities/towns in America are dry. Not whole States though.

Prohibition of alcohol is up to local governments. Parts of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Texas and Virginia have dry counties.

I'm don't know about dancing although I'm sure there are places where that is banned.

The dancing is news to me... maybe in some small religious communities, like the Mennonite. And, alcohol is banned in some towns, called "dry" towns. By and large, though, drinking responsibly and dancing are very much acceptable.

I don't think there are any States which could be termed "dry", ie: don't permit the sale or consumption of alcohol within its borders. However, many counties are dry. The most notable dry county is Moore County in Tennessee where Jack Daniels Whiskey is distilled.

Have you been watching Footloose? ;o)

It is true that some states have "dry counties" in which you cannot buy alcohol inside of that county except in restaurants. But I don't think there are entire states that have banned alcohol.

I don't think dancing is outlawed any where. As for alcohol. I know certain cities are dry . As for states, I do not think so.

NOT TRUE. At least not yet. The closest I have seen is Utah because of the strange beliefs of Mormonism.
