don't download anything that you're unsure of if you look online. foreign models differ slightly.

As people lost their CDs all the time, if you go to the web site of the maker of the printer they will have the CD files available as a free download.

Just hook the printer to the computer it will install driver for it automatically then go to the printer driver and set it as default printer.

Well it would help if we knew what printer and model you have. Second if you go to the manf. website then you can download the drivers that you need.
