Jesus Tap Dancing Christ, you memorized his whole proposal and you say you are dissapointed?????
Ok, its stereotypical but hey, proposing is not an everyday routine now, right? I am sure he put quite some effort into thinking this whole thing. And spend quite some time in front of a mirror trying to make it sound right. And his stomach was upside down all night while trying to find the proper time to say it. And he was trying hard not to behave normal. I mean come on... Dont you think you are a bit judgmental?
The guy is romantic! (Plus he has a good taste in jewlery ;) )
I hope you two are happy together :)
Cheers :)

First, try to understand why you said "I was left disappointed EVEN THOUGH the ring was amazing"!! Something is wrong here. Not grammatically of course, but in the interpretation of your thought.
Maybe you are afraid of commitment. If you are very young, this, I can understand. The proposal was wonderful, tender, caring, loving. If you love him and believe you can be happy with him , accept.

YES!!!! What do you want, fireworks and fanfare? You have a man who obviously adores you, what more do you need?
I think you have been watching too much reality TV. Not everyone is going to get a proposal while jumping out of an airplane. Come back down to earth and marry this man who loves you and can express his feelings.

I must admit that, this is an awesome expression of his feelings and his desires. He's stated that he can't live life without you.
There is nothing more compelling than a confession.
He's expressed gratitude, commitment, happiness, good fortune, and love.
Believe me, you are asking for something that only you can provide to yourself.
The disappointment you feel is by choice.
We choose to be gratified, dissatisfied, happy, or sad based on our needs, wants, and desires.
However, you must consider this: "the nemesis to any relationship is an unexpressed desire."
Therefore, if there is something to convey to him--you must do it.
Do not enter into marriage without clearly feeling free to express your opinion on any matter.
Good luck.

Wow, what more could you want? The guy laid his feelings all out on the table and said some amazing things to you about you and what you mean to him. I don't know what more you expected, but I think you should feel happy and thankful to have a guy who can and will express his feelings.

I see nothing wrong with that proposal. I think you were expecting too much.
It seemed sincere, and genuine.
