Personal digital assistants (PDAs) are handheld computers that were originally designed as personal organizers, but became much more versatile over the years. PDAs are also known as pocket computers or palmtop computers. Some professions such as nurses and doctors actuall have PDA's with bluetooth wireless connectivity to their main frame databases on their computers at their offices or hospitals to help in their work activities. Some are hybrids such as Blacberries that are PDAs and cell phones in one. Pdas are used for numerous applications, and have expandable memory, you can use GPS locators,cameras, and can even play games on them.
