That is just an integrated graphics chip, what is the computer model number (located on the back, or underneath for laptop).

Email or instant message me with the answer and ill help figure out what you can use....

We would need to know the the model of the motherboard to be able to determine the type of RAM it is able to support, it also depends on what operating system you have and what you generaly use your computer far as to how much RAM you need. I assume you are using XP and by the sounds of the chipset it isnt a high end PC and you wouldnt use it for gaming so you would nt need much RAM...either 256MB or 512MB as for the type I think it might be SD-RAM but dont hold me to that as there is a posibility that it could be DDR...I cant remember the number of pins but all you need to know is if it is DDR or SD RAM. If you are looking for more all you would have to do is tell the people in the computer store if it is DDR or SD but if you arent sure just take it into the store and they will be able to help you out

I would recommend a minimum of 512, if you are a gamer its 2GB

See your motherboard manual it should say something about the RAM it supports Some support DDR some DDR2 some both

U have 741 pin right? so you will have to install DDR ram make sure its 400MHz speed

One way is to remove the memory you already have in the system and read the label that's usually on memory chips, that
should tell you what type it is. You can also go to the computer or motherboard manufacturer's web site and that should have the information you need.

Download Belarc Advisor, the site is http://www.belarc.com
then after it scans your computer, it will tell you the motherboard manufacturer, and the model and serial number.
Then just go to the motherboard's website and look up the model of the board.
It should tell you which type of RAM you need

sis741 is just the chipset on the motherboard. still, it is designed to support 400mhz FSB RAM. you can assume it's standard 400mhz FSB, or look up the specs for the motherboard, not just the southbridge

Can't say how much you need, but the best advice is you can never have to much.
