I am 30 weeks pregnant, and I have been having some cramping in my lower stomach...actually it feels more like ongoing cramping....It's not horrible pain, but enough to make me uncomfortable. Also my lower back is really aching as well!! Could this just be from my stomach growing larger?? Also I have a slight discharge that has been going on for a few days now...it's yellow, and itches..is this a yeast infection? I have already had one yeast infection, and I didn't even know it...so I am not sure!? Thank you for all the help! This is my first baby....I have been through 3 miscarriages...and never made it this far, so everything worries me!! Thanks again!

I am 38 weeks and have been getting cramping for a while too. I would recommend doing kick counts. In case you dont know Kick counts are done shortly after eating, you lay down somewhere and count movements. You should feel 10 distinct movements within 2 hours. If you don't then I would recommend contacting your ob/gyn immediately. As for the discharge it does sound like you have another yeast infection. I never got on before in my life until I got pregnant so I didn't know what they were either. I went to the Dr for one of my routine internals and she was like "Whoa you have a TERRIBLE yeast infection." She prescribed a cream that got rid of it fine but of course it came back twice. Lower back aches are also normal especially now that you baby is at the stage where he is developing fatty tissue. As his weight increases so does the strain on your body. Also you may be experiencing Braxton-Hicks contractions which are false labor pains as your uterus "practices" for the real thing. Dont be afraid to call your dr though when something happens that concerns you, they know your medical history and would certianly understand your worry. If you are afraid to bother them or something happens at night check and see if your health insurance has a 24 nurse hotline you could call. Most do now and you can talk to a real nurse 24 hours a day for some reassurance. Congratulations and good luck!

Well It is a good possibility that if you have a yeast infection it could be causing the cramping. What you need to look out for is that if you do have an infection that the cramping does not put the baby in distress and then you will go into labor. Babies will not remain in utero if they are distressed to much at this point in your prgenancy they can cause you to begin labor. You really do not want to be in labor yet the little one needs a few more weeks. I would call your OB it is as easy as taking a swab for them to find out if it is a yeast infection. It could also be a bladder infection. Those are common toward the end of pregnancies. Good Luck I have three little ones under the age of four and have been through everything that could go wrong. It never hurts to ask the doctor if anything it can only help . :)

Well, first off you do have some sort of an infection. However, only a doctor can tell you whether it's truly in fact a yeast infection. It could be something else...so call your doc about that.
My stomach has felt crampy and tight since day 1 of my pregnancy. I'm 25 weeks and occasionally I still get it, but not as much in the beginning. So, unless you're not bleeding, you're probably just growing. Back aches...could definitely be from the increased pressure your growing tummy is putting on your back, to support it all. Again, this is a great question for your doctor. So get calling, cause you and him have a lot to talk about today.

The cramping may be braxton hicks contractions or you maybe going into labor, I am not sure about the discharge so you should just go in to see your doctor just to be on the safe side

the cramping sounds like one of our delightful pregnancy side effects. i'm 34 weeks and have be experiencing this for a few weeks. it should be ok unless you begin to bleed. but you should have the doc check on that discharge.

You should talk to your doctor right away with your history. I would be going in for everything too. Call him or go to the ER. I wouldn't take any risks.

Don't ask us. Ask your doctor NOW. Go there first thing this morning. Get off of the computer and get dressed and get it checked out.
