I dont think much at all, its obvious the person has injured themself and they are in the healing process, whether it means they have the leg in a cast, using crutches or even a big old shoe boot. Its a no brainer that you would walk slower than your friends, if they were considerate they could slow down their pace. Dont worry too much about it. You'll be back to your old self soon.

Your friends shoud be considered for you and walk with you since you have a broken leg this way they can carry your books for you.

Broken limbs are a part of life. I don't spend any time thinking about it other than I feel badly for you and am glad it wasn't me.
