Don't you find it funny, that a piece of paper is all or most of a lot of peoples lives....think about it. A piece of paper that happens to be green, will make people, kill, work to death, keep one from getting a home, keep somepeople from achieving dreams, and puts other people in power...odd when you really think about it. So, heres my question. If you could...no rules apply...How would you make everyone equal whn it came to the little green monster called money?
C'mon be creative, be funny,,its early...

Ok, yes, I know its not ONLY a piece of paper..it many other things..put all in all techinically..its a piece of paper. I'm not looking for answers to make everyone equal, that is not possible..just looking for what you would do to make money not so important in Society....It'll always have a plce..but, it does seem more now than ever its taken up a BIG space..what would you do to take the emphasis off money and spread it around so, everyone would slow down..and enjoy little things?

Just like in pro sports, I would enforce a "salary cap." Now, this would take into account all those who make way more then they should be making for the jobs they do. Ok, best example would be that of celebrities. Movies stars are way overpaid for what they do. It sickens me to see one walking around with a $20,000 handbag when people are starving all over the place. For that much money, you could drastically change someones life.
So, let's say the highest amount that someone would be able to earn in a year would $100,000. This would eliminate such wasteful spending on such ridiculous items. Think of all the money that would be left over if there was a salary cap.
What do we do with all that extra money???
Spread the wealth. I guess, I am taking the robin hood approach to things. You know, steal from the rich and give to the poor.

You know that it's not only a piece of paper! It's what it represents and the power that it gives! That's all the fuss about!
I would love making everyone equal, but I don't think that this could ever happen! There would always be someone who wants to take the power for his own good only!

You can't eat money can you? A little American dollar salad anyone? I put this nice vinegarette dressing on it and tossed in some roasted nickels.
You also can't even use it to wipe your behind (not big enough).
Skills are what people should be selling and bartering is better than cash. Of course, then we wouldn't need the IRS would we?

If life has taught me anything, it's that people aren't equal. If all money was taken away and we all had to re-earn, some would become rich again and others would flop like a fish out of water.

I know...not funny. It's early.
