Why always wait for Government to do something? If rich pay their due tax I think that will eradicate a lot of problems. There is lot of money and many programmes run for them...but everything fails due to corrruption. We have so many unemployed youth in our country, why cant they work like watch dogs on Govt?See expecting someone else to get up and work is easy but to actually stand up and go for it needs....a true human being!

Steps To Eradicate Poverty

2016-12-18 06:25:33 · answer #2 · answered by mehaffey 4 · 0 0

Complete eradication of poverty is a utopian concept bringing poverty under control is very much possible. The first step in this direction would be to ensure food security in the country. Without sufficient food the poor will not be able to labour and hence, become poorer. The ration shops, which have been conceived by the government to benefit 'below poverty line' families are today plegued by corruption and leakage. This has to be brought under control. Special officers should be deputed to see that the BPL families are not deprived of their rights.

Another step that should be taken is 'population control' initiatives. Because of the explosive population growth rate, no matter how much progress India makes, its efforts are always nullified by the excessive population. The growth rate of BPL families is even higher than that of the rest of the country.

Dear readers,
I am not writing a story to take all your time. I am just highlighting the points. To eradicate poverty from our country the government have to take many steps like :
1. Encourage poverty alleviation programmes
2. Improve health conditions
3. Provide primary & secondary education to all children
4. Mid-day meals in schools
5. Increase economic growth rate
6. Make people more aware on one -child policy

According to me every person should be given a Chance to either become an MLA or MP at least once; preferably when the person turns 21 years of age. To accomodate all, the tenure of MLA and MP should be reduced to 1 year. And no elections. Just create an Exchange like Employment Exchange - may be we can call that as Proverty Exchange - where everyone who attains age 21 can register.

I personally feel, this will eradicate poverty 100%.

Hows the idea?

Cut all the hand-outs so people have incentive to work and not live off the system. There is more than 1 level of poverty in this Country, you have those that really need the help and we should help them, then there are those that are struggling to choose between a new sound system for the house or the car. I say hide their gov. checks under their work-boots.

Give someone a fish, feed them for a day, teach someone to fish, feed them for a lifetime.
This starts with each individual taking up responsibility and wroking to be educated and make a better life for themselves like our ancestors did.
There are those who are truely disadvantaged and that is why we have the welfare system. As long as people are allowed to ride the system however, things will not get any better.
There are government work programs and educational programs for the econmically disadvantaged. Many people on welfare however do not take advantage of this and condemn themselves to rely on the system. Why work when the government will throw money at you to sat at home?

I think poverty cannot be eradicated completely..at least in India..because our government just want to fill its bags with money and it doesn't feel shame for doing it...

Hmmm many answers to this..But a step by step and long programme for poverty erradication would be needed.
To start with Indian population should be controlled..Overpopulation leads to poverty, unemployment and everything else. Its the root cause of poverty..
Next Corruption should be erradicated.Fat bellied polititans should be removed..
100% Population should be educated.though this is being in progress..
This is all i could think of!

Cheers!
