Probably nowhere, but at least you become part of a long tradition of asking questions. Or a majoring in Philosophy can lead you to law school. Start checking out philosophy programs of universities you might be interested in. Each major university, I suspect, will have a particular focus or strength in an area of philosophy. Check out the faculty listings and look at their publications; they are good indications of the school's specialties.

Possibly a Nobel Prize if your mind is that unique. A Ph.D from a noteworthy college of the Ivy League persuasion is certainly something to be sought if you are from a wealthy family or have a more lucrative career than the average Yank, Brit, Asian, Arab, etc. If you are a fellow dumbarse redneck with great grades and little financial backing, strike for a scholarship. Does the prospect of competition or fear that you may not be the best approach to life, the universe and everything discourage you?
If so, chuck it and write the GAN (Great American Novel) and teach us what we have missed or become a rock 'n' roll lyricist for the band you wish you had organized. Do not get into rap or hiphop as there is no philosophy there, only a whole lot of bad language and jousting at windmills. Another option would be to get into print or internet media and become an authority on your chosen subject. Least desireable option would be to rob a bank, get caught and become a jailhouse lawyer.

Philosophy degrees are about as economically useful as the English degrees which I have. Actually, even less so, since there would be no room for you in a high school. Could you possibly shift the emphasis slightly and make it a Mathematics major?
I have my excuses -- I was working full time, and English was all I could fit into a full-time college schedule. What are yours?

Yeah, it seems that teaching or using your degree as a springboard into another area is about it. Someone mentioned law; I'm in seminary and there are quite a few philosophy majors who go after a Master of Arts in Religion with a Theology concentration. But there again, where does that get them? Teaching or writing books, I guess.

Philosophy," the physician". I wanted to become an accomplished writer, my search brought me through the philosophies. Instead of looking only for the splinter in my brothers eye. I found the log in mine and began to remove it. chipping away until I could see. Now that's something to write about. at least it has been for my life.
