Recently, I was driving over The Sunshine Skyway Bridge that runs over Tampa Bay, in Florida. I happened to be at the crest of the Bridge, just as the Sun, hit the Horizon. And I swear that I felt the emotions that actually took my breath away. It was just so amazing. It allowed me to see how wonderful nature, and this Beautiful Country, is.
Question: Has anyone else had such a moving experience, by just going along their day? One of them moments that took your Breath away? And left you stunned for a moment?
(no one else was with me, with this happened)
And no! We don't need any stories about Sex, Drugs, or Rock-n-Roll. This about being glad that you're alive?

P.S. and I do highly reccomend that anyone try this. If you are at the Crest of The Sunshine Skyway Bridge at Sunrise? See if it was as amazing to you. AS it was for me.

To the first two Ladies: I've been on that stretch of I-10 through southern New Mexico and Arizona. I know you can relate to what I'm saying. Thanks for checking in!

Yes, I have them frequently.
I doubt life would be all that great if everything was half as crappy as some people make it out to be.
When you stop marvelling at life, you're preparing to leave it.

Last year my fiance` and I bought a house. It's the first place either one of us have ever owned. We're in our forties, so we really appreciate this place.

It's lovely. The house is older, built in 56, but sturdy and in great condition. Hardwood floors, and lots of windows. It sits on a little over an acre on the corner of Main and the street that runs in front of the school. The yard is full of trees and 'Easter Flowers.'

Sunday afternoon I was sitting on my steps noticing that the leaves were turning green on one of the huge willow oaks in our front yard. The new growth is a light green and the bark is a dark brown. The contrast is beautiful. The setting sun sparkled between the limbs and left dappled light on the earth below. I felt otherworldly.

I could hear my teenaged boys in the house playing their guitars. My man came around the corner from the back yard and we looked at each other and knew how the other felt. "Life is good and full of love."

It was just undescribable.

It might seem strange, but I've been drawn to Raleigh, NC all my life. I was born and raised in Ohio so I can't explain why Raleigh was so important to me. I had 2 very close cousins move to NC, and that made Raleigh even more important because they were there and I missed them terribly. I spent most of my life in small-town Ohio, feeling trapped and unhappy. One day I quit my job and decided to move. I was 26 years old and people said I was being stupid - I didn't even have a job lined up.
I can't exactly describe how I felt when I finally moved to Raleigh, but it was the greatest sense of peace and belonging I've ever felt. I seriously felt like I was finally 'home' for the first time in my life. I was never happier than I was in Raleigh. There was nothing spectacular about the skyline or anything like that. I lived in a historical district and the trees were so tall & beautiful, it was absolutely gorgeous. I woke up every morning in a good mood even though I was working in a restaurant, struggling to make ends meet - knowing literally noone in the city.
Unfortunately, I no longer live in Raleigh. I accepted a job closer to home - my parents were having a difficult time adjusting to life without me. I'd give anything to be back in Raleigh though. I think about it every day - the people, the places, the memories. That was the best time of my life - I wish I were still there.

I was in Tarapoto, Peru. It was morning and I walked up to the roof of my hotel to gaze at the scenery. There, in the cool breeze of the morning, I enjoyed watching the fog rolling gently down the mountains surrounding the town. There was enough light to see by, but the sun had yet to creep up over the mountains. I cannot do it justice in writing about it, but to say the least, it was a moving experience.

I have seen the exact same thing.....at the same spot.
I used to live in St. Pete and I would take my dog swimming by the Sunshine Skyway...

Many mornings I would sit while she was frolicking and just watch the beauty of nature...

yes the week before last I drove from Oklahoma to California, to meet my first grandchild. first I was moved by the scenery in New Mexico, it is absolutly gorgeous there. Then when I arrived, my son-in-law placed this tiny little girl in my arms, and I cried, she was the most beautiful thing in the world at that moment, so small (great I am now on the verge of crying, thanks).

yes, I have had this happen several times and it brings you back to the fact that regardless of your situation there are reasons for keeping on. The Mojave desert just after a thunderstorm is a sight to see.
