Do people think global warming is real or just way for governments to make more money out of taxes?

First off i am going to point out that there are no tax increases for global warming, in fact the current government is offering tax breaks for people who drive hybrids, city and states are offering tax breaks for those who make their houses more energy efficient, so it is not a matter of increased government spending.
Second) Global warming is a trend that is represented by the increase in chemicals and pollutants in our water and air, so yes global warming is happening, while i believe at a much slower pace than represented, but the fact is an increase in co2 emissions at an unhealthy level has led to an increase in temperature, combined with the warming of both the water and the atmosphere of our earth. Basically because industrial production such as coal powered electric plants releases harmful gases into the atmosphere that leads to less space in the atmosphere for heat to escape which in turn causes global warming, and as a result we are seeing more hurricanes and storms than ever before, while we cannot blame the devastation of Hurricane Katrina solely on global warming because of the location of new orleans below the sea level, but we can blame and look directly at oil and industrial drilling off the coast of Louisiana which in turn has destroyed 70% of the protective barrier islands which would have been able to deflect the fury of Katrina from wreaking havoc on the population of New Orleans.
Thirdly) while there has been no increase of taxes due to global warming , it is imperative that our government takes steps to encourage energy efficiency and the protection of our natural resources, including such barrier islands and other natural defenses that will protect us from both natural and unnatural storms and their effect on the globe.

Global Worming is real BUT it is not happening like people believe. It is actually called, "WE ARE COMING OUT OF AN ICE AGE". Scientists who study core samples from the polar ice caps do agree that the earth has been getting warmer at a steady rate FOR THE LAST 10,000 YEARS. The "scientists" that get on TV and scream about "climate change" wouldn't have a job otherwise. The records they study only go back to about 1890.

Answer: Climate on this planet has been constantly changing. The "environmentalist" and U.N. paid scientists are indeed distorting facts for profit...Not just upfront capitol, but the power to extort even more down the line from those that labor and produce.
I found it interesting that some of the U.N. "experts", were, in the mid 1970's, sounding the alarm of the imminent Ice Age!
Logic tells me they follow the Bonnie and Clyde Maxim...They rob where the money is!

Natural Warming of the earth is occurring, but Al Gores "Global Warming" is a myth. One would have to believe there is money to be made.

Global warming is pure junk science and it is part of the liberal tree huggers plan to take more tax dollars out of your wallet and force you to drive a crappy little Prius.

Both. It is real the amount of effect Humans have on it is a big question with me. I have yet to see anything that is 100% fact one way or the other. I do think it is a blown out issue when others ar cheaper to fix and have instant benefit.

Global warming is happening, and, we need to take rational steps to discourage the trend.
