It sure sounds like Osama. It would be like having a guy named Charles Mansoon or Adolfo Hitler for president. That's my opinion. And although he is dark-skinned, he doesn't really care about the African-American community. So don't vote for the guy. It frightens me that he studied at a Muslim school in a foreign country. If you think it's time for a black president, I agree but let's find one that's not so creepy. Hilary also frightens me though.

I think people's names DO make a difference to others. It's psychological. As a politician, Obama is at a loss because of his name. By the same token, you are correct; not many Americans would vote for a guy named Adolph, even if he were a good person.

Perhaps Obama would have been better off had he changed his name to Barry Adams, for example. It's the same for famous people:

Who's music are you more likely to listen to : Billy Idol or Willian Board (same person). Which actor would you rather watch: Hal Linden or Harold Lipschitz (same person). Woody Allen or Allen Stewart Konigsberg... the list goes on.

America would be a better place if people placed their vote based on a candidates take on the issues that concern us,rather then the skin color or denomination. Before I vote, I am going to find out more about ALL of the candidates. Please, for the sake of our future, don't eliminate anyone because of their name, skin color or gender. From what I've seen so far, Obama is highly respected, and quite articulate, traits long overdue in this rapidly changing political climate.

I predict he looses 5 percentage points in the primarys off his vote total just on his name (Barack Hussein Osama Obama). Even the senile Teddy Kennedy can't pronounce it correctly. Anyway Americans are not going to elect a Commander In Chief with a terrorist sounding name who was raised in a Islamic madrasa in of all places Indonesia.

I have no intention of voting for Obama, but it certainly isn't because of his name or that he isn't "black enough". How stupid are those reasons. I hope you explore the depth of a candidate more than that when making your choice.

I think that we know nothing about him and we can't ask the tough questions, because that would be racist. That's all I need to know about him. And no, he doesn't get my vote.

But honestly? I have never voted for a Democrat yet, so I doubt I'll start now. I have written in Mickey Mouse before. And if Giuliani is who the Republicans nominate, it will be a Mickey Mouse vote for me again.

I wont be voting for him but it doesn't have anything to do with his name. It is his lack of experience that I am concerned about.

You sound very very young, your criteria for selecting a president are pretty superficial. Try reading up in where he stands, and what is his actual background.
