There are always factors when dealing with drugs.
If you smoke, or consume a lot of alcohol, or have high blood pressure or diabetes, or other factors, it could affect you when you take contraceptives of any type.
I would have a consultation with your doctor about these issues before getting any prescription for contraceptives.

dependant on age ,dependant on why you are taking them,they are not only for contraception all medications have some sort of side effect,see your doctor
