I live in a townhouse and I got two parking spots, one for my daily driver and the other a truck that my dad had left behind when he passed away. I've been looking after it all this while. It mysteriously broke down right after he died. I've been meaning to fix it up. This Cardinal Management group put a sticker on my dad's truck saying that I had no registration or proper stickers on it and no plates. Well, I can't register it if I don't have insurance for it and if i don't have insurance for it it's because I'm not going to be driving it for a long *** time because it don't work! Butt they are threatening to tow it and it's the only damn thing I got left of my dad's so I'm hoping you guys can let me know what I should do.

It is in their right to tow your truck. It probably says somewhere on your lease agreement that you will not have any unregistered vehicles on the grounds of the complex. That is there to protect the appearance of the area. While your truck may not look bad, imagine what it would be like if people had old junk cars sitting around in the lot. The place would look pretty trashy. I would try and get a limited insurance policy that only covers it for a few miles a year since you aren't planning on driving it. Then I would get it properly registered. If you don't want to do that, then I would find a storage facility where you can store it. In the long run, it would be cheaper to insure and register it than putting it in storage.

I know this sucks but that is the way they can keep your townhouse complex looking nice.

Good Luck.
