LOL! Don't worry if she moves in she will have no problem throwing out YOUR things to make sure there is room for hers! I know... that you know... all she will have to do is bat her eyelashes at you and say, pretty please, and you will be in a trance like state and carry it out yourself!

Do what I did...I have a collection of junk I was attached to too. What I did was rent a storage unit for 6 months..I sorted throughe everything and forced myself to put it in storage, and then I left it in there. 6 months later I went back..and low and behold..I couldn't remember what I had half of it for...Needless to say I got rid of almost all of it. I didn't need it. With out staring at me from my closet I was less attched to it too.
But, if your really having troubles, just have me come over and I'll tell you to close your eyes as I pitch stuff..and I'll take it some where else to throw it away, so you can't dig it out of the garbage...and I'm cheap too...A pizza, and some mozzerella sticks...and a good amount of pop, and I'm hired..LOL.

Start spending 15 minutes a day throwing stuff out - just go through your closet and decide what's to keep, what's to put away for winter/summer, what goes to charity and the rest goes in the bin!!

Don't even think about doing it all at once - it'll drive you nuts and you'll end up with clothes and shoes everywhere.

Well give me your address. I will come over and take everything you want to get rid of. Oh by the way, I get $100.00 per day. But I should be out of there in a day or two, so it won't cost you too much.

Start with one room. Take EVERYTHING out of the room, and I mean EVERYTHING. Lay it out on your front lawn. When you see all of the junk in this context, you'll realize what you need and what you don't need. At least, it worked on the Dr. Phil show.

Don't worry she will help you, women are like that..ya know..the "oh hes such a bachelor etc..."..so the need to clean up for a man comes out..natural instinct I think...but beware, once she settles in with you its a routine then she will expect you to clean up after yourself..good luck!

Have you called Dr. Phil? I've seen him take truckloads from packrat's houses. Good morning, Lt. Dan. How are you?

I can't stand pack rats either, have you thought about donating some of your stuff? call Goodwill they'll pick it up for you for free, that is, if the stuff is in good conditions.

You have to set up a criteria.
1. haven't worn it in 1 year? out
2. haven't used it in 6 months? out.
3. ugly but my mom/friend/or other gave it to me? out.
Try it and see if it works for you.
