i suffer from pcos and haven't had a period for the past 2 years until recently when i start to bleed in october of last year i had the usual cramps and tenderness but the period itself was on and off and lasted about 3 weeks. I did see my gp and she said that it was where my menstral cycle was trying to get back to normal. I then didnt have any more shows for another 2 months which was the beginning of march i had the same menstral symptoms which lasted about a week but when the bleeding stopped i still had a brown discharge which was the same as before. the discharged stopped about 5 days ago but when i went to have intercourse with my husband i noticed about an hour later that i had started to bleed again which contained small blood clots similar to the ones you hve on your menstral cycle. Does anyone know what this could be

You should refer to your gp again as i dont think PCOs cause bleeding after intercourse. I suffer with PCOs and have never experienced this or read about it. You should consult your dr if this is worrying you or not normal. All the best.

im exacly the same but i havent found it much of a prob to see the doc about it.

i, myself, havent had a period for 2 1/2 years but in that space ive had 2 births, and when not pregnant have been either on the pill or jab. im now on jab and have been for a year. all of a sudden i had really bad pains and blead on and off for a few days and do occasionally have discharge after sex that contains blood and small clots.

i have though about going to the doc about this as i dont think its usual. apart from that i have nothing medically wrong with me.

please tell me what is causing this when you find out.

most appreciated

I don´t know what it is...but the symptoms are similar to what i had a couple of years ago, doctor thought it was a premature menopause. After a smear test found a tumor in the womb neck. Don´t take any chances and get a smear test done, i was operated in time, operation took 20 mins, removed tumor and burnt area with laser.
