When I must use still or yet.

still means that a condition was present before, and it continues. : I am still my mother´s child. ( have been, continue to be )

but yet means it hasnt happened before, and we are still waiting on it. : I have not yet tried eating octupus! ( have not eaten in past, and still havent in present)
