Who told Chappel to perform experiments till the last moment? The team had no fixed batting order.
Dravid has a negative attitude.
Of course coach is to be blamed because he controls the whole team.
And in cricket the captain has a great role to play. Good and aggressive captaincy and intelligent decisions on field can make all the difference.

As a captain, he is responsible in taking close and critical decisions on behalf of the Team. If the current Indian team was given to any other country, they would have won the cup without fail.
Please do not blame the coach. It was planned in 2003 WC when India were the Runners (The winners then had already a vision on the 2007 WC and they have done their homework absolutely clean by making us appoint an Intentional coach...(ooppppss International coach). R we running short of National cricketers who can take up coaching activity.
Its all a Game ......and its played in advance....

Dear Uncle-why do you give credit to the captain and the coach, when the team wins, and the captain does not contribute?. In the historic win against South Africa, Dravid was lauded to the skies, when it were VVS Laxman and Saurav who pulled of the magic!

There is also a great chance of failure though individual performance is high and team performance is a bit low.
One of the main thing is underestimating the opposite team. This must not occur and I think this occured.
This responsibility goest to Chappel and Dravid.
Educating the present level of team is important.
They are responsible for getting the remarks and this remarks are not only for them but to the whole team.
So critizing the two's is not the two's but really the 13's.

It is wrong to single out the Captain and the Coach for the disasterous performance of Indian Team in the world cup. The debacle was due to collective failure of batsmen and bowlers to perform to their potential.

b cos they are in front of it. It is chappel who gone with his experiments till last moment.
but Dravid was good with his personal performance and lacks in on field decisions. When the Bangladesh batsmans started blasting the top bowlers, he could have changed the pace attack to slower attack by employing ganguly, shehwag, sachin during earlier stage. and similar other problems.
If one comes into public life, he has to take hell of it.

Poor strategy and leadership are the main reasons for this debacle.Individual performance comes only next though it is also a reason.
