in movies like nutty professor, norbert and that movie with lindsay lohan (where she played both twins), how do they do it so that both characters are there at the same time? when its played by one person, and its def not stunt double!!

They shoot it twice and dub it together

the actor plays both roles and is filmed seperate, then they splice the film together and if you see them together at the same time you will notice you do not see the face on both of them then they do use a double dressed the same, when they are talking you know there will be only one showed at the time.

i remember the first time i ever saw that was the Back to the future Movies.
In part 2: Fox played, Marty, his son, his daughter, (yes that was Fox as the daughter), and i think one other.

they shoot it from 1 angle. then save it and do the other angle and add the images on to the pc or whatever and put them where they need to be
