It is a personal matter. People should not be defining or explaining their sex life to anyone.

The word homosexuality defined in 1890 as sexual desire or behavior directed toward a person or persons of ones own sex.
The deviance is put upon the word when people "judge" it to be deviant, but not defined as part of the word.

I'm not homosexual and have never had even a "homosexual experience" (never been with another chick, to put it in the more common vernacular ;-) ) so I feel ill equipped to define it under the terms you have provided.
I don't think anyone can every truly understand if it is a matter of nature, nurture, or, even, a combination of the two without living through the experience. Even then one would still have to consider personal biases (for and against).
In a purely sociological viewpoint I do think it is deviant but only insomuch as "deviance" defines any person or persons with behaviours and/or experiences outside of the norm. Homosexuals are deviant simply because, unlike the average Joe, they find true love with someone of the same gender insomuch as Einstein was a deviant simply because he was so much smarter than the average Joe. "Deviance" has a bad connotation colloquially but it is, actually, a very neutral term.
Deviance is a driving force for humanity perhaps, even, more so than any norm. Not only does it give us something to fear and hate and strive not to be but it also gives us something to love and adore and strive toward. Jesus was a deviant. Gandhi was a deviant. MLK Jr. was a deviant. They changed the world with messages of love and acceptance (no matter how many might twist the words and ideas toward hatred and intolerance).
Averages don't change the world. They don't even change the smallest of villages. If Jesus was average, if he was the norm, then or today, he would have no influence. He would give us nothing to strive toward, nothing to hope for.
So, yeah, homos are deviants. They're outside the norm. So what? I'd like to share such a title with the likes of those individuals who defined a religion that has affected million, who brought down an empire, and who taught us the true meaning of freedom. They, Christ, Gandhi, and MLK Jr., all taught and practiced love, respect, and non-violence. Heck, compared to the three men who did these things on their own homosexuals are the norm.
Furthermore, I think homosexuality is a choice. I also think heterosexuality is a choice. I believe that no matter what any god or genes may have to say, even, no matter what god, genes, and experiences may say all together, everything that we are is a result of our choices.
My sex is female because my last little bit of genes have one X and one Y chromosome. My sex is female because I have ovaries and no testes. My gender is female because I choose it. No matter how much my parents or anyone else told me what to be it was still my choice. It IS still my choice.
Personally, the idea of sex with another woman does gross me out. That said I have asked myself if I could not fall in love with someone simply because of their genitalia. I could no more love someone for their money, looks, or connections. Love is emotional, even "true love" or "romantic love." It is an emotional connection between two people who just, simply, work together that astoundingly well. Sex, both the act and the trait, seem pretty meaningless compared to such an incredible emotion.
If anything any love that can survive the extreme societal pressure of our current gender issues is a pretty darn strong love.
In the Judeo-Christian sense I would think any such love would be welcomed by a God whom is believed to have (or be willing to) suffer so much for his children. To fight a world pitted against you for simply loving another person... chromosomes and body types seem pretty petty compared to that.

By the strict definition, it would probably be deviance - after all, it's not a typical trait in humans, and it makes no sense from a biological standpoint. However, deviance has such negative connotations. Our entire lives are no longer based on having children. There are plenty of people out there who choose not to who aren't considered deviants. Personally, I see it as a preference that is none of my business.

Homosexual is a person attracted to a member of the same sex.
Homosexuality is a naturally occuring sexual orientation.
Nothing deviant about it at all.
Can't state it any plainer than than that.

Read the Old Testament. Homosexuallity is why God destroyed Soddom and Gommorrah.
Homosexuality is when a person of the same sex has sex with someone of the same sex. Read about it, there is no rule about it in any common rule book, it all dates back to the Old Testament. It is a sin to God, so if you believe in God, then stop it, if you don't believe in Him, then who cares what you do, it will stop at some point, whether God does it or you do.
That is the beauty of being free, we can choose what we like, regardless of how beautiful those things are to God.

Since most Americans worship the very ground that Jews walk on.... everything is what they say it is, unless someone has the audacity to state that they do NOT wish to live by a Judaized value system.
