I know I may sound a bit dumb here, but dont need the funny comments of folks. Just a simple yes or no or I dont know will do. Cheers in advance Tess

A friend of mine is now pregnant with her third child since having a gastric bypass. They did tell her to wait at least a year after the surgery to get pregnant, but she accidentally got pregnant with her first earlier than that and the child is fine.

It should be ok, but talk to your doctor to be sure!

Sure you can.
Just Talk to a several mothers with that condition to find out the in/out of the process.

Talk to your ob/gyn as well. I was told that "lap band" was much better for me, since it can be (opened up=removed) for pregnancy. After interviewing many woman "my self", I decide to hold off on the weight loss surgery until I had the kids.

Ironically, I lost 42#'s while eating right and being pregnant. So I not eligible anymore for surgery....LOL Go figure!

Best wishes

My brother's missus aunt had that done, caught pregnant, and now has to have the thing removed. And she's in her forties. So yeah, you can still catch up the duff.

i dont think it will affect pregnancy, as your reproductive system is seperate from your digestive system.

it may be better to see a doctor for a thorough answer though

help this helps
