I have a very old Compaq Monitor. no drivers available wtsoever... i use it on full brightness and contrast but it still is too dark to use for many things... i dont want to get it repaired and i dont care if it gets burnt up by wat u say.. is there any software to increase the overall brightness of the screen???

i already know the best way to accelerate is it at 9.8 m/s2... but i need a real time solution

This is a hardware problem. Software will not fix it. The monitor is tired, and needs to be replaced. Your eyesight is more important than the monitor, so my advice is to replace it with a better one.

I feel its time to change your monitor.
Old monitor with high brightness may harm your eyes.

I don't believe so, your best bet is to buy a used one, or a new one, depending on your current cashflow, just be sure to test any used one before purchase. You don't wanna get burned on anothers junk.

Try Kijiji to find a used replacement.
