How can you be wrong if change is the governing principle of life, the universe and everything; even time is born out of the nature of all things to change. You are absolutely right! But is it possible to change the world? This is the question that could the crux of the answer you might be looking for.
When, for example, I go about doing things in my world, I come across all sorts of people, some of which I find good while some other bad. I see hundred thousand things about my world that should be changed. I see injustice, corruption, deceit, cruelty, greed, lust and pain everywhere. Then I know that this world is not to be trusted. That when left to its own devices this world is potentially a nasty place; things here do not always turn out to be right; people do not automatically treat you nicely; that there is nothing either good or bad; and if things can be good, they can also be bad, the effects cancel themselves out, and often I am left with nothing.
Then I experience the simple fact that when I change myself things in the world change too. I realise that the world is not just the world, just because there are many people in it, whom I often call others; the world is in fact my world. This is the world that my mind is made up of. I see that when I feel in want of things in my mind, I want those things for my world in fact; the reality is that my world is in need of something that I find my self in need of. I understand by this reciprocal correlation within my mind that when I feel need of love, then my mind and in reality my world feels that need; when I need to have something, could then be the time when I need to give something in fact?
But this is not enough, for when I try to give the best I can the same thing happens again; I find my best efforts going to waste; I do not get appreciation for my good intentions and neither do I find deeds of my excellence being rewarded. Then I know all; over again that this world is in fact is a rotten place; and when left to its own devices it can become pretty nasty a simple mind, and good heart.
Now, I have come to look at this world with caution and doubt, for this world if not changed can harm me fatally. Now, I know that the best way to change this world is by changing myself first. I am the one who is going to create order into disorder of my world, I am the one suppose to have a valid purpose of my own. I am the one who is going to pave the way for myself in this otherwise pathless jungle of facts, realities, aspirations, desires, hopes, ambitions and purposes that are not always in my favour. I have come to look at this world with all the doubtfulness I have while keeping all the faith that I have tight at the centre of my heart. I hope for the best as I am equally prepared for the worst as I see my world being change right in front of my eyes due to my vital efforts everyday.

To change the world is not that simple.
You can change your life, you can even become president and you may have the power to establish laws and rules to improve some aspects of the world, but changing it ?!!!!
The world is made by humans, humans don't change the core of their being, so the world can't be changed as far as what we mean by "world" derives from humans!!!

No. You're not wrong. I want to change the world, too. If you agree with me, let's get started! We don't have to start a religion - just a group of smart people getting together to help the other inhabitants of this lovely planet.

no. every individual, regardless of who, where and when he/she exists, changes thje world every single second. a simple smile for a strtangewr on the street changes the world, just as much as the death of a popular musician. the degree of change may be slight, or great, but you may never know how much you have changed the world whiole you are alive. most people never realize how important they are, if only to say hello to the right person who is in great need of a smile in order to get his whole life working for others.

Forget about changing the world. Just change your family, friends and neighbours. That'll be enough to start with. Why do people think too big?

You can certainly do your part! Sometimes one person can change the world. (Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Jesus to name a few...) Who knows?
If each person did their part to make the world a better place then the world would change.
Don't lose your enthusiasm! Too many people think it's hopeless & don't even try.

No not at all......Just think how many people have answered this question and by doing so has affected their whole day and the people around them. The smallest things we do effect a lot more people than we realise, like ripples in a pond.
Doesnt the saying go something like "If a butterfly flaps its wings in China, there will be a tidal wave in Europe"

No, even the smallest thing you do in life will have changed the world. Perhaps not significantly to matter to the entire population, but you would have to those people in your life that you are friends with, perhaps marry later on.
