i have a electronick unit from a 1981gs850 plug from unit has 4 prongs bike harnes has 4 what di i have to change ?or is this unit even abble to be used ?

The ignition system isn't interchangeable between the two bikes. You have to buy an electronic ignition specifically for your bike that will replace the points.

check with a shop which sells parts to see if the big zook part number is the same as the 850, thats the best way to see if it will work.
the plate that carries the points and contacts comes out and the plate which carries the electronic ignition goes in. Last time I did this was 15 years ago so you'll have to forgive me if I don't remember the specifics, but when I did it I knew nothing about wrenching and only used a shop manual for a guide.
