Which is better - to be a magician or a bowman at Maple Story? Why?

I haven't downloaded the game. For me not to waste time, I'm trying to choose on which job I'll take. Since of too much confusion, I went to www.maplesea.com and checked out the characteristics of every job. I went to the job ranking and saw how many female magicians there is. I then tried the bowmans and were able to notice that most were guys.

I have this brother and he told me that a bowman's better for their town is filled with mushroom-like houses. I really liked mushrooms so I accepted the idea of becoming a bowman.
One day, my friend told me that she was going to be a magician. Because of that, I start becoming confused again. I don't know what to do now.

If you're a fellow mapler, please help me out. I don't know what to have for my job, you see. I only know is that in order to be a magician, you only need to be level 8. I'll accept any answer as long as you'll give me the advantages and disadvantages of every job. Whoever gives a proper answer gets to have 10 points.

Well, this is a good question. The upside to being one of the few female bowmen is that you can buy female bowman armor much cheaper from other players. Other than that, you have to compare the two classes.

Magician is difficult to get started. Most magicians start off with 4 str, and never increase that. So, they're hitting for very low damage, and are usually stuck killing blue snails until level 8. You either have to be patient or have a higher level friend who's willing to help you level quickly. Once you become a magician and have a skill set chosen (Your friends can help you with this), it starts off slow, then starts getting better. By level 25 or so, magicians are fairly powerful. The problem is, you'll end up stuck levelling in only a few areas specially weak to what you use.

Bowman takes a very long time to become powerful. In fact, I hear they are really only average fighters throughout the game. On the other hand, they get some of the better group-killing skills later on.

If you're just starting out at Maple, you will need a job that is easy to get used to and fun to play. If your friends will help you getting to level 8, magician works well. Warrior is also easy to start out as, but you will have people who try to steal your kills.

Whichever path you choose, have fun with it. Magicians can go to the bowman town any time they want, so if you like mushrooms, you can still be a magician. I'll give you a quick rundown of the four starting jobs as I know them, just for a final look-over.

Magician- Weak at first, gets strong claw attack later, low HP, so you'll need to use more potions.

Warrior- Strong all the time, a bit slow, you have to get in close to fight, and has a harder time fighting enemies that are much stronger than you are.

Thief- Very weak unless you are rich and can buy the best equipment, then it's very strong. Also fast.

Bowman- Very average, very accurate hits, but rarely the best. You'll need to keep arrows with you to shoot too.

Well, my fellow Mapler, er, if you were a magician, the sheer expanse of the knowledge of magic and sorcery you could have at the end your very long finger-nailed hands would far outreach the mere blunt objects a bowman could throw at you, if he or, a few she weren't wasted on magic mushrooms where the scene from Austin Powers of the 60's pyscadelic with flashing lights part is continuously relived. A stoner or a thinker that tinkers?

i can give a best answer=beginner=warrior
a bit pro=bowman
more pro=magician
pro=rouge
it all depend how hard/easy to train,better head my advise,if you are a starter you use magician i am sure that you lack of money by lv12 or so

Magician-Because you can attack by contact and attack by distance at the same time.
