Don't marry YOUR blood (also known as your brother, sister, father, mother, or first cousin- well first cousin is negotiable in the south (US))

You can marry any blood type. Blood types don't matter for marriage. I've always assumed they do blood tests for marriages in case one of you have a disease.

The only time blood types matter is with a transfusion and having a child. (As far as I know anyways) But when having a child with the "wrong" blood type, the mother gets a shot and then it's not an issue anymore. I had the shot, it's nothing really.

I don't know which blood types you shouldn't mix though, sorry.

You cannot marry a first cousin because of the same blood line. Idiosy results. Otherwise you can marry any blood type. Blood tests are done to discover syphylis. It must be taken care of so as not to damage any child at birth.
O Negatives are universal donors but it is not great to have that blood type (I have it).
It affects the second born child...who is born sickly, or blue. But fortunately mothers are given RohGam after the first baby is born to prevent problems with future births. It has something to do with antibodies.
O Negative is not common but I have two other siblings who have it. My grandmother had 11 births, only two lived. I asked her why and she said the doctor told her "the blood didn't mix." So my guess is that is where we got our blood type from.

I don't know the blood types but what happens is that those two blood types don't work together if you have a child the two blood types fight against each other and the baby can and will probably die. The mother has to have shots when she finds out shes pregnant so it will not kill the baby.Hope this helped in some way

blood groups matched for marriage ??? please explain
im not sure wat u mean
if the mother is O negative then the baby can have problems due to the antibodies but that shouldnt stop u marrying
and u cant marry 1st cousins or close family like stepbrothers or sisters - but other than that there shouldnt be any blood related problems
Oh and some greek ppl have an anemia which can be carried and when u marry someone with the same thingy then the baby can have it but you cn get genetic counselling for that

There aren't any. You can marry whoever you want to. Blood types don't matter in marriage. If the girl is a -type and the boy is a +type, she'll need a shot during pregnancy to protect the baby. But it shouldn't stop them from marrying. I got the shot with each pregnancy and my children and I are all ok.

never heard of that..you can marry who you want. I have been married twice and never need a blood test.

You do have an issue in regards to a birth of a child. You have to get an injection if the blood is a certain type..usually in mixed marriages

If AB- marries O+, just out of curiosity, what will the baby be?
BTW, it isn't a problem for the first baby, but the second baby might have problems. (I was the second baby and they couldn't give me an IQ test, that's how out of it I was. Now I'm 132 IQ. Go figure)

I am from Australia and I am looking forward to this answer, I have never understood this at all. Why do you even have to have blood tests at all?
