The most eradic position in fantasy baseball is the closer position. What are some names that you think will take over the spot by the end of the season. Who will be this year's Papelbon?

Im talking about SLEEPERS, not Borowski or any other clear cut closer.

Like Mike McDougal - Will Bobby Jenks faulter

Or my new guy - Jorge Julio - He's going to take over the role in Florida.

Keep on eye on the closer situation in Pittsburgh (Matt Capps), Atlanta (Mike Gonzalez/Raphael Soriano), San Francisco (Brain Wilson), Los Angeles (Jonathon Broxton), Philadelphia (Antonio Alfonseca/Ryan Madson), Chicago (Mike McDougal), Detroit (Joel Zumaya/Fernando Rodney), Florida (Jorge Julio--just got traded yesterday!), and Texas (Akinori Otsuka) as all of these teams have closers who for one reason or another could lose their jobs and all of the aformentioned players are ready and waiting in the wings to take over.

Kid fleet is wrong about Fernando Rodney, if Todd Jones falters which he probably will it's going to be Joel Zumaya. He has shown that he has electric stuff that is necessary for a closer.
Other teams that might change:

The Cubs, if Ryan Dempster faulters, Kerry (shudders) Wood might take the reigns if he stays healthy

Jonathan Broxton of the Dodgers could become the closer in LA if Saito fails.

Brian Wilson could be closing for the Giants if Armando Benitez falls apart.

Dustin Hermansen of the Reds could become the closer there also.

Just a few suggestions there, don't want to give away all my insider knowledge ;-)

It is rumoured that unless Todd Jones can once again prove himself (it is most likely not going to happen), he is going to get fired. And then Joel Zumaya is going to take his spot as the primary closer for the Detroit Tigers.

Hey, I have this site, www.fantasywatchdog.com. It's a search engine exclusively geared towards fantasy sports. Try it out, you'll find some good results for "Sleepers" and "Closers."

Watch Fernando Rodney if your league has holds. If Jones of the Tigers falters and Rodney is pitching well, he might get the closer spot.
