Just had the first one in the house.
The noise alone gives me the creeps.

for over three weeks we thought some feral cat had gotten in our attic over our bathroom, so every day my girl was getting ready for work and she is saying "hey kitty" because we heard this constant purring we thought she had a litter, well I got sick of it and started to pound on the ceiling and my hand went straight through the drywall into a ten pound wasps nest, I ran through the house naked screaming " BEES! JESUS CHRIST BEES" Ha they were all over me, it turns out they used the drywall to make the nest so it was paper thin and we had to hire a bee guy to come and get them. I still have bumps on my hand where I got stung

im entomophobic... so i actually HATE all crawly creatures. i visit work out from a wierd attitude why human beings like different creepy crawlies, and could very almost recognize the large factor about butterflies, yet then i keep in mind they have spiky hairs, 6 legs and dusty scaly wings and imagine 'thank goodness you purely stay for an afternoon! wasps make me ill... both bodily and mentally, they make my pores and skin move slowly, yet i actually have a reaction to their sting. i became on my UV computer virus zapper very last nighttime, positioned out the ant poison and fly paper and offered computer virus swatters for each room of the residing house... i ain't getting stung this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days! *shivers*

They baffle me.Unlike any animal, with the possible exeption of the owl and the Australian, they serve no purpose. They're not in the food chain, they cant make honey and they are not fluffy.God has a way of extinguishing it's useless creations like the dinosaur and the dodo, but the pointy yet pointless wasp soldiers on WHY?

yes I get nightmares about the horrible buzzy things, I cant sleep at night if I know there is one in the house.
I have more respect for bees than wasps as least they work for a living and provide some purpose of why they were put on this planet and they will only sting you if they really have to.

I got stung by one in 3rd grade and I fell from this Rocket Ship playground piece. I thought I fell like 20 feet, but I am betting if I went back it was like 3 feet.
I still smash those suckers when I can for a little payback!

Last summer I was in the back yard running and falling over things to get away from them! I could imagine what the neighbors must have thought! I found this spray foam from Ortho that does the trick! Hopefully they won't be back this year!

Yes (*shudder*). I had very long hair as a kid, and I had one get stuck in it when I was outside. Scared the bejesus out of me. Still hate them. I keep the wasp/hornet spray people in business.
