Depends. I have the same broadband speed & it took me 10 hrs. to download a movie a few days ago. I think your speed is governed by several factors. How far you live from the exchange, the condition of the wiring in your house etc. I dont think changing your isp will alter that fact considerabely. I presume you are talking about your speed and not usage allowance

If you want to download lots of music and such, then go for a provider who doesn't cap your downloads. Otherwise you could subscribe to a service and find half way through the month you are unable to download till next month as you have used up your quota.
1 meg download will be fast enough for the moment, but in time you may want to increase the download speeds..

Yes, I think it is fast enough to download musics. Maybe it will took just some 20-30 minutes or less. I don't know, I never feel 1 Mbps but I quite sure it is fast enough.

It depends on what you want to use it for. I switched to Sky broadband, for a £40 activation fee you get 2mpbs per month free.....

I don't think so, i think the min you should get for downloading is 2mb. Otherwise you will be sitting around waiting forever for the download to finish.

hi.. it all depends what you are surfing the net for. if you are surfing the net for leisure, maybe it's enough. but if it's for official use, i'd suggest getting a 100mbps. its faster of course. i'm not so sure about how fast is 1mbps. but i think it's very slow.
