When I am having my 'time of the month', my tummy feels bloated..why? Are there any steps I can take to remedy this? Thanks

The reason for the bloating is because of the hormones that are associated with the period. You can try something like Midol (not sure if they sell that particular brand in London). Also, drinking a lot of water helps. I know that almost sounds a bit odd but I tried it years ago to see if it would help me and it did because it was pushing that water build up (caused by the hormones) out.

Also, I found that I had to watch my salt intake during that time of the month and found that also helped ease some of the bloating that I would get.

look up pms symptom remedies or menstrual health and you'll find explanations on causes- besides midol or similar meds, these are basic remedies, don't deprive the sugar or salt cravings but be limited (a little dark chocolate is good for u and takes care of that craving)
lots of water
cut sodium and caffeine
eat high fiber foods (fruit, whole grain bread/cereal, yogurt is good)
vitamin B and iron
physical activity, might not feel like it but at least go for walks
enough sleep

Try evening primrose oil. They come in soft pills and can be purchased from almost any pharmacy. They seem to help somewhat for me.
