Is this something 'normal' to you? i mean have u always had this cycle of sleeping or has it just started? u should look back at when it started and see wht diff ur doing? eating, drinking b4 going 2 sleep? having a nap during the day? going to the toilet a lot more? there are many reasons only u can sort them out by thinking wht has changed in ur daily routine, i wouldnt worry too much about it cos it myt b a phase, but if it persists and u feel ur affected by it then seek medical advice,
I always wake up at 4am its like a alarm clock inside me, but i use that do read my prayers which comforts me and makes me strnger for the day ahead.

Hi..I find listening to my radio, talksport is on all night helps as i often drift off whilst it is on. Am currently trying a series of hypnotherapy suggestion CD's which a friend swears are marvellous so might work for you. Other suggestion is get up after 20 minutes of just lying there and do something medial that you hate, ironing etc! then go back to bed. That sometimes works for me. Sweet dreams

you are suffering a form of insomnia. you need to learn to relax before sleep. dont watch tv, read a book instead. and have a cup of warm milk. deal with your worries during the day - that way you have no problems for your sleeping brain to deal with at night.
if all else fails - see your GP and get some sleeping tablets prescribed for the short-term.

Could be loads of things, do you eat before going to bed, drink caffine upto 4 hours before. Have you got a lot on your mind. Do you need to pee, cos that could be a symptom of Diabetes.
Speak to your GP

Perhaps you are anxious. If you sleep on your side with one leg at almost right angle, it is likely you are quite tensed. Try to listen to classical music before you sleep.

as weird as this may seem have you tried any relaxation or meditation tapes/cd's,i get this a lot when i'm stressing or worried about something,i used to drive myself mad trying to get back to sleep or even trying to get to sleep,i bought a relaxation cd and it does seem to help.anxiety can disrupt sleep patterns which in turn disrupts everything else making it a vicious circle, try some relaxation and see if that helps

Thing is, believe or not you can think you are awake when in fact you are asleep I know that seems silly but you can dream your awake when in fact you are fast asleep.
Try pinching yourself when you think you are awake you will find there is no pain because you dont feel pain when in sleep.
nite nite.
